  • “Labour will cut your pension. We will protect your pension and end welfare for migrants.”
Method

Ad volume fell sharply from the start of the month, but the long-running pledge ads (the £250 energy cut and the "Uniparty" personal-allowance card) kept their reach past a million impressions each. Two new petitions, on Burnham and rejoining the EU and on the BBC licence fee, started on 14 October and added list-building.

  • “The next Conservative government will scrap Inheritance Tax on your family home”
Method

A short burst of policy videos from 9 October ("If you can work, you should work", "Enough is enough") sat alongside the inheritance-tax pledge from 7 October. The "unite the right" video, aimed squarely at Reform-curious voters, took the most money. Most ads were persuasion rather than petitions.

Every ad asked people to join, using the Holborn & St Pancras result as proof of momentum and claiming credit for pushing Labour to the left ("Greens helped force Starmer out"). Spend per ad was small, under £200.

What changed

What this week tells us

  • Reform's weekly ad count fell from about 2,000 to about 110. The volume of early October did not last.
  • The Conservatives openly addressed "unite the right", which shows Reform is the competitor they are advertising against.
  • Labour ran no national ads in the week after holding Holborn & St Pancras.
