Three Operation Fortress ads started on 5 August: one promising to "end the invasion of our country", and one each saying Labour and the Conservatives "will never do what is necessary to secure our border". Older ads from 21 July said Andy Burnham "has become PM with almost no scrutiny or mandate" and called for a general election, each passing a million impressions. The general-election petition continued to collect sign-ups.

A video, which ran on 1–4 August, featured victims of sexual abuse told their attackers "could be released early under Labour's early release scheme", and from 4 August a petition claiming 40,000 backers asked the government to cancel the scheme. Separate ads and a petition ("Tell Labour to back British oil & gas") used BP's exit from the North Sea to accuse Labour, and in some versions the SNP, of "managed decline".
