Three Operation Fortress ads started on 5 August: one promising to "end the invasion of our country", and one each saying Labour and the Conservatives "will never do what is necessary to secure our border". The general-election petition continued to collect sign-ups.

A video, which ran on 1–4 August, featured victims of sexual abuse told their attackers "could be released early under Labour's early release scheme", and from 4 August a petition claiming 40,000 backers asked the government to cancel the scheme. Separate ads and a petition ("Tell Labour to back British oil & gas") used BP's exit from the North Sea to accuse Labour, and in some versions the SNP, of "managed decline".
